Jon Harrison Taylor is the youngest son of rhythm and blues STAX icon Johnnie Taylor (1968's monster R&B smash "Who's Makin' Love?" and the 1976 Columbia hit "Disco Lady", among others). "I grew up as a backstage baby and began going to dope concerts very young. " Taylor recalls. At 15, Jon started lead singing and playing guitar in rock bands and continued to lead bands throughout college. After moving to Los Angeles, Taylor spent much of his time recording and traveling the world as a professional lead guitarist. He worked with blue-eyed soul singer Robin Thicke among other major label artists. JHT played shows across the U.S. and Europe and has appeared on Ellen, Soul Train, Top of the Pops, and more. Taylor has put out several EPs and full-length albums of his original songs, acting as the singer, songwriter, and producer. For most of his work, he has arranged and performed all the instrumentation for his songs himself. His style ranges from dreamy, funky Alt-R&B to acoustic singer-songwriter.
